Motivated.

Today I am motivated. Here are my main goals for 2009:

1. Be happy – I already am happy, but I’m not happy with how I’ve let myself go. This will change. I know what I need to do, I just need the motivation to do it. I need a plan of action. I am hoping that writing things down and keeping this blog will keep me accountable.

2. Be healthy – Eat well, sleep enough, workout and stay consistent. I get lazy. If food isn’t prepared, I grab whatever is easy. A bowel of cereal, crackers, toast… If there is no food in the house, I grab take out to bring home for dinner. This has to stop, as it is a waste of money and definitely not healthy.

3. Be organized – I get stressed from not being organized. I know when I am happy with myself, happy with my surroundings (mess free) and am active, I feel SO much better. For some reason, I let everything go at once. I let it all build up and then one day (like today) go on a rampage to get re-organized.

4. Take my life back from World of Warcraft (WoW) – I play WAY too much. It is a life stealer! Recently, I quit for a month and got back to the gym and eating clean but the game pulled me back in. I love playing. Kirk loves playing. It is something we do together and enjoy, BUT playing the game needs to come after our health.

So here’s my plan: I will go on my re-organization rampage this week.

Tonight I will go grocery shopping and only buy clean foods. Kirk and I will eat clean this week and start feeling better. We both know eating bad foods make us feel horrible and we feel so much better eating healthy foods. We both enjoy the healthy foods we make. We will have one cheat day a week.

I will pre-cook all of our lunch food and plan what we will eat for the week. Everything will be easy to grab and easy to prepare so there are no excuses to bring home junk.

I will also get our laundry organized and set out our gym clothes. We will get together all our old clothes to bring to the Salvation Army and only keep what we will wear now and have been wearing lately. If we haven’t worn something for months, we will get rid of it.

So there it is, The Plan.
