Good times!

^^ me being bored driving in to work ^^

The past few days I have been rockin'!! We've been eating great and I've been getting in the gym consistantly. I find myself avoiding cardio at all costs though. I don't know what it is, but I just don't want to do it. I reason with myself saying that I'll catch up with it once I know I'm sticking to the gym. Or I tell myself that ... 'next week' ... I'll get up early (like out of the house at 5am) and do my cardio in the morning to get it out of the way for the day. Well we all know what happens 'next week'!!

It's funny how much food is pushed on us in society. Now that I don't want to eat that yummy-eewy-gooey-cheezy goodness that is out there, I am amazed at HOW MANY tv commercials and radio commercials and just about anything you can see or hear is an advertisement for food! At the moment, I'm doing really well with not craving anything. I can visualize everything as bad. A cheese whiz commercial made me notice that cheese whiz looks like melted plastic. Pizza makes me visualize oil dripping off of it. Just thinking of commercials that stick out in my mind... :P I just can't believe how much society wants you to eat. It's no wonder people eat like crap!! I'm on to them, NO MORE!! :D

We did take our before pictures last Saturday. Now I'm looking forward to taking them again in 4 weeks to see if we can notice any difference. I sure hope so!!

Note to self: get your butt into cardio!!! GAWD!

  1. LOL, my trainer has spoiled me with regards to cardio. I'm only doing 30min 2x/week right now (currently bulking), and even THAT feels like an infinity!!! This is coming from cardio addict, who used to run 1+ hour a day, seven days a week. Crazy!

  2. Isn't AMAZING how bad it is? Commercials and coworkers... I get flack at work all the time. It actually makes people UNCOMFORTABLE to see me eat healthy. *weird*

What kind of cardio do you do? If I plan on steady state cardio (walking or biking) I am good. I hop on the bike or treadmill and listen to my music. Before you know it I am adding inclines and speed and resistance. I end up doing intervals afterall. If I plan on intervals, I'll avoid cardio like the plague. Its all a mind game.

  3. I love to run... well, I used to! ;) I don't so much like running on a treadmill, but I will. Kirk and I run together in the summer and have a blast. I'm really looking forward to the nice weather coming around this year.

I hear you in the mind games you play with yourself. I do that too! I just have to figure out how to get myself onto the treadmill.

I'm actually trying to line myself up to doing spin classes. I did a few classes a couple months ago and I love them. So maybe that's my ticket... Commit to a couple spin classes a week. I'll start trying to talk myself into it now! :D

Sohee... you're lucky, for now! lol Treadmills are sooo boring...
