I actually like the soreness you get from the gym. Usually though, my first workouts after taking a break at the gym, I would take it easy. I'd wimp out saying that I'd like to be able to walk tomorrow, or touch my face.... but not this time! I sit at a desk all day, who needs to walk anyway! After the initial back to the gym soreness goes away I actually try my best to be sore for the next day. I like to be reminded that I worked hard the night before.
Last night I did back, biceps and calves. I had a great workout despite the fact that I ate like crap all day. I felt it though. I felt weak, and got shakey early in my workout. Serves me right for not having food in the house. :( I went out after the gym and grabbed all my veggies and stuff that I need for the week.
So today, I'm feeling my triceps, chest, biceps, back, shoulders, quads and shins. Shoulders hurting only because they must have been helping for my chest. Everything just has to catch up again. Quads and shins hurt from that little jog outside on Monday - how pathetic is that??!! Ah well, I'm hoping they will settle down to do a leg workout tonight.
I told Kirk this morning that we HAVE to do my before pictures tonight. If I don't get them done soon, they won't be before pictures! I know I'll really want to have them a few months from now. I think they're too much of a reality for me right now to post them though. :O I'll prolly put them up a bit later.

I love DOMS. :) The best leg workouts result in it hurting to sit down. ;) Keep focused! Make sure you drink plenty of water. Flush out the lactic acid so you can recover faster and keep pushing hard. :)
